Qualities and Advantages of Mikroclima
Mikroclima (and Tunnet) is knitted from thin, but amazingly strong, high density UV
stabilized polyethylene thread (see picture below). Despite its light weight it is extremely strong and with
normal use will protect your plants for many years. The
manufacturers claim up to eight years. VeggiePatch has
experience of using Mikroclima for 4 years, and it is still as good as new.
It is very easy to handle as
it is light in weight - Mikroclima is only 35 grams per square metre and Tunnet, a heavier duty fabric but similar to Mikroclima is 80 gms per square metre. Accessing your plants is a breeze. Just unclip the fabric from the frame of
your hoop tunnel or tent and lift it up. Anyone can do it, it is so light.

Good for long, narrow borders or raised beds. Create a frame using a poly or pvc pipe.
Easy to make at home and quick to install. You can even use Mikroclima as a loose row cover without

A great size for the family vegetable garden, to protect and promote your growing plants.
Use for hoop tunnels up to 1.8m x 5m with a height of about 95 cm. |
